"What matters more is what we actually do as coaches to be useful to the teachers that we work with. To be helpful." This is a brilliant post on what really responsive coaching looks like, considering the personal, cognitive and technical domains.

Another excellent post from Sarah. Moving away from the idea of a coach as just a 'problem solver' seeking to 'fix' the teacher is key.

NEW POST Leader says "please do x" Staff then don't do x It's not because they are lazy, incompetent or deliberately undermining. So why is it? achemicalorthodoxy.co.uk/2024/10/30/you…

🧵 on making school a compelling place to be: I rarely speak about the fact that I was a school refuser. I found it difficult to attend for many reasons, that, given the opportunity, I opted out of doing so.

Adaptive Teaching, Strategies and Ultimate Frisbee... 🥏 Yes, I play Ultimate Frisbee, yes it is a real sport. Both teaching and UF rely on a unique language that allows people to connect and communicate effectively – despite Ulitmate being a niche community.

This is fantastic. Yes psychology teachers should understand the science of learning because it is in their specification to a degree, but yes they also often seem to ignore it. This will be helpful to support them to deliver the best lessons they can.

Excellent from paulcline on the importance of attention to tony instructional details to really effective teaching. Like most areas of life, what separates experts from novices is a myriad barely perceptible things done perfectly. wp.me/pcOLy3-84
