GOLD FOR WIFFEN!!! Savage stuff 🥇Congrats again to Paul Talty & the backroom team also 👏🏻👏🏻

Spoke to Paul Talty the week before they left for Paris & he was confident the Swim Ireland team that were heading to the Games was the strongest Ireland had sent in quite some time. A bronze and gold medal later; he was fairly on the money!!

Congratulations to Mona McSharry, Daniel Wiffen and our partners Swim Ireland on their amazing performances. It's great to see years of hard work pay off and the pride it brings to the country. Well done Paul Talty and all the staff and best of luck over the coming days! 🙌🇮🇪☘️

Research in Gaelic games is at a very early stage of development and it is important to enhance our understanding of what is actually taking place in our sports so we can better support the athletes playing them. Thanks Shane Malone for asking me to be part of this process.

Interesting piece of work here from Cormac Powell, PhD and the team. Could be a useful tool for future quadrennial planning for swimming NGBs

Thanks Derrick Lynch and congrats Evan Talty

Big shoes to fill for the next person in to this role. Jon has left an indelible mark on Irish swimming. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with him and will be forever grateful for the opportunity he provided me in my role in Swim Ireland

It is very important that the swim programme and the S&C (“dryland”) programmes do not operate in isolation from one another. There should be a synergy between the two elements of the athlete’s training plan. sportsmith.co/articles/dryla… via Sportsmith
