Paul Turner and colleagues in Cambodia explored the pediatric nasopharyngeal microbiota with culture, MALDI-TOF MS, and targeted metagenomic sequencing. This was technically feasible and revealed complex lineage-level colonization dynamics. #mBio journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/mb…
