We are calling on Labour MPs to vote against the benefit cuts. Tenants will be hard hit by them. 59% of social renters have at least one person who has a long-term illness or a disability. 73% of council tenants have no savings. Arrears for council tenants reached £397 in 2022/3.

If the previously announced £2 billion supports 18,000 homes, £3.9 billion a year adds up to 35,100 a year. But what will go to social rent when the government is maintaining the Tory definition of "affordable housing", including "affordable rent" and "affordable private rent"?
