This week my Senate colleagues and I had a productive visit to Edmonton.  We met with Alberta MLAs to discuss issues affecting Black Albertans. We visited the Africa Centre for a tour and discussions and also explored the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute Amii.

I recently attended the 5th Senate Social and launch of Model Senate, an initiative by Senate of Canada meant to engage more than 100 Canadian students and young people in our democracy. I met and spoke with many vibrant and intelligent young leaders.
