UN Women Country Rep Paulina Chiwangu visited the Minister of Defense @Hon Ssempijja. They discussed opportunities to explore strategic engagement with the Ministry and the @updf_ , which fall under its purview, for achieving the Women Peace & Security agenda (NAP1325). #Uganda


Our partner, UWOPA has launched its 5-year Strategic Plan- (2022-2026), intended to guide their operations, in a ceremony held at Imperial Royale Hotel, in Kampala. The event was graced by Rt Hon Rukia Nakadama 3rd Deputy Prime Minister, Hon Betty Amongi, Paulina Chiwangu and Hon Mutuzo.


The UN Women Rep in 🇺🇬toured the climate-smart agriculture project that's being implemented Women through a partnership between Delight Uganda Limited, UN Women and Nwoya District Local Government, with over 2000 women benefiting from the project.

This week UN Women Uganda Country Rep Paulina Chiwangu is in West Nile region on a mission to interact with key stakeholders including beneficiaries of UN Women Programmes.

.Paulina Chiwangu met Office of the Prime Minister - Uganda Commandant Bidi Bidi refugee settlement who recognised UN Women Uganda role in uplifting the voice of women in refugee leadership. The support has resulted into more women taking leadership roles on the refugee welfare committees Refugee Law Project


.Paulina Chiwangu commended Office of the Prime Minister - Uganda for the great work rendered to the refugees. She called for coordinated efforts towards maximization of available resources amidst the reductions in the rations given to refugees.


Day one of the Paulina Chiwangu visit in West Nile ended with an interaction with beneficiaries of Mental Health Psychosocial Support services provided by TPO Uganda with support from UN Women Uganda Embassy of Japan in Uganda 🇯🇵 🇺🇬



Country Rep UN Women Uganda called upon the beneficiaries to utilize the skills and support to make their lives better. she reechoed the commitment to work with and support the refugees to be better. Embassy of Japan in Uganda 🇯🇵 🇺🇬 enabled the provision of these services to the refugees.TPO Uganda
