Its been great to see lots of butterflies at Lullymore West recently. Thank you to the volunteers who participated in todays survey! 10 different species were recorded, including Brimstone, Red Admiral and Silverwashed Fritillary. IPCC thank The Heritage Council for their support.

Thank you to everyone who attended IPCC's butterfly walk at Lullymore West today for Heritage Week 2023! Lots of butterflies were spotted, including Peacock, Brimstone, Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral and Common Blue. Thanks to The Heritage Council and Kildare County Council for their support.


IPCC was out on Killyconny Bog yesterday with KillyconnyBogProject, measuring peat depth to estimate the store of carbon in the bog. The deepest point measured was over 13.6m! A nice sighting out on the bog was some white Ling Heather. #LoveBogs


IPCC is delighted to be taking part in the inaugural Kildare Biodiversity Conference, on Saturday October 14th at the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge.
