Remarkable important new JCI insight study from Paris that vagus nerve stimulation enhances hippocampal function as the mechanism for fecal microbiome transplants enhancing memory loss in ageing. insight.jci.org/articles/view/…

Thank you #JPM2023 and Michael J. Dowling Northwell Health for inviting me to present #vagus updates. "The science is in. A Bioelectronic Medicine revolution is inevitable."

Exciting paper on organic electrochemical neurons with implications on closed loop regulation of biology by interfacing with peripheral nerves out today from Simone Fabiano's group Linköpings universitet. Very happy to be involved in this stimulating work! pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36635590/

Congratulations to KI Professors Gonçalo Castelo-Branco, Maria Eriksson and Björn Högberg for being awarded ERC Advanced Grants! 👏 @gocastelobranco Eriksson research lab @bjorn_hogberg European Research Council (ERC) #ERCAdG For more ➡️ news.ki.se/three-ki-resea…

Data accumulates targeting the Vagus Nerve inflammatory reflex is giving hope for future options beyond biologics and JAK inhibitors. Is a tipping point approaching ? I really hope so. Peder S Olofsson American College of Rheumatology SetPoint Medical the-rheumatologist.org/article/resear…

Interesting commentary by Maureen Cox in PNAS on our recent article on human acetylcholine-producing T cells pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37036991/. Prof. Kevin J. Tracey, MD

After ~8 years of experiments, this is now out Nature Communications: the #vagus nerve primes platelets, enhancing their calcium uptake, so stimulating the vagus nerve accelerates blood clotting even in hemophilia. Looking forward to clinical tests of this important idea.... HEMOSTASIS CONNECT
