Lee and Mike from Storry came in to PW today to give Year 5 and 6 an important workshop about choices, trusted adults, avoiding exploitation and harm, and achieving success in life by staying true to who you are. Thank you, Lee and Mike!

A fabulous World Book Day was had by all at Penn Wood; books are our golden thread. We all shared a book, our oldest children read to our youngest and we made our own 'Reader Identities' because Reading for Pleasure really is at the heart of what we do.

We invited families of our Gardening Club and Eco Champions to a 'Grow With It' event at school. Families planted nasturtium seeds together and made plant labels. It was lovely to share our love of the outdoors and gardening with our families. Thank you all for coming!

This week is OPAL launch week at Penn Wood. The children were so eager and engaged, and there was a tangible buzz in the air on day one. Z bugs, construction, bowling, weaving, chalk and train tracks yesterday - what will today bring?

Kindness Day was a huge community success! Lots of amazing Talk for Writing story telling with our new story areas and fairy doors.
