It's learning disability week, this is a week to raise awareness and gain understanding about the lives of people with learning disabilities. Today's focus is on myth-busting stereotypes and showing the reality surrounding people in the community with learning disabilities. 📷

We had interviews with Adrian, Andy, and Dan (sadly, we lost footage of Dan, but enjoy our garden) It's Learning Disability week, we want to highlight the importance of managing our health and what's best for it, being the best advocates we can for our mental and physical health

Our service users got the chance to be involved with a focus group to take part in research regarding type 2 diabetes and its management with NHS Greater Manchester Engagement. Work like this highlights the importance of tackling health inequalities #LearningDisabilityWeek

On Saturday, we held our third Summer Fayre at Hurst Cross Community Centre It was a day filled with stalls, games, and entertainment that everyone could enjoy. From local businesses to fairy-tale royalty, there was something for anyone who joined us. #PennineMencap #mencap
