Happy #FieldworkFriday! Shout out to Forest Service NW fire crews who battled the Williams Creek Fire and saved station ASR2 at Mt Adams this summer. This station is the only one in the area and was critical in detecting the the uptick in events that USGS Volcanoes🌋 recently noted.

I am extremely good at finding valuable stuff on the street. Today while cycling in I found a $200 filtrete air filter on the curb with a brand new filter! Thank goodness for the ebike meaning I could get it to work!

I know I'm extremely lucky to own a house, but receiving a $17,300 yearly property tax bill when my neighbours, and likely most colleagues are paying a tiny fraction of this seems really unfair. That's ~$1400 a month just for property tax. Prop13 sucks for young people.
