We're delighted to be working with The Bee Farmers Association, running a new Love British Honey campaign. Only 14% of the honey we consume comes from Britain - a staggeringly low number. We're aiming to change that!🇬🇧

Why buy British honey?🇬🇧 Only 14% of the honey we consume comes from Britain, compared to 60% on average in Europe. Most of our bee keepers are small-scale enterprises. Support our local economies and Love British Honey!🇬🇧

Why should you Love British Honey?🇬🇧 Most of the honey we consume is imported... It's often made too quickly and doesn't meet the highest standards set in Britain. Quality, British honey is the best way to guarantee that you're getting the real thing. Love British Honey!🇬🇧

All honey isn't made the same - bee farming takes place in every landscape, environment, terrain and even in cities. Honey’s flavour comes from its environment, with each colony providing a unique taste. That's why we Love British Honey!🇬🇧

Supporting local beekeepers not only ensures that you're getting high quality honey, but it also contributes to the preservation of our native bee species and promotes environmental stewardship. Love British Honey!🇬🇧

European hornets (Vespa crabro) European hornets are a native species, often called gentle giants, they are not a risk to pollinators. Please leave them alone. See comparison image. The yellow-legged Asian hornet is a threat and needs reporting using the Asian Hornet Watch app

With the first yellow-legged Asian hornet secondary nest found on Jersey this week, it may be worth a reminder of nest Identification. Please share on your own social media.

Amazing story for tomorrow. Soft fruit growing farmer dumped by buyer (for major supermarket?). Giving away strawbs, ploughing others into ground. But pulls out of i/v (pressure applied?) But any other fruit growers having issues? My DMs are open. 🍓🫐🍒
