The #redlegged earth mite hatching model (tinyurl.com/2yx58s2d) is predicting later than average hatching this year due to the dry. In SE Aus, #RLEM needs >5mm rain 🌧️and 10+ days <16oC 🌡️to hatch. Hatched so far (21/5): Clare☑️ Minlaton❌ Cummins❌ Keith❌Horsham❌. Seen any?

Mandalotus weevils have been ring-barking canola seedlings at Mt Hope & Tooligie, Eyre P 🪲Check canola 1-week after emergence for missing plants. Weevils are 3-5mm, hard to spot during day, can be found feeding at night. If you find some, let me know! PestFactsSA GRDC
