One of the operations I’ve had the pleasure of supporting is LFR international, a foundation started by one of my closest friends Peter G. Delaney, M.D.. They’ve managed to train over 10,000 taxi drivers in Africa in first aid and have dramatically decreased road deaths in countries

Grateful for the exciting opportunity to present our work on the efficacy of online first responder training at #ASC2024. Thank you Michigan Surgery, Surgeons Against Poverty, and LFR International for the support! 🚨🚑

'By adopting a wider perspective on the role of surgery, surgeons can shift the common but mistaken perception of surgery as a drain on resources to a vision of surgery as a powerful engine for strengthening both health systems and society' Our The Lancet comment ahead of #WHA77

Very cool that 2 University of Michigan Medical School students earned a USAID grant to expand first responder training in LMICs: bit.ly/3RBgP4P. A big #GoBlue Kudos to Zachary J. Eisner, MD, Peter G. Delaney, M.D. and everyone at LFR International!
