Very much looking forward to giving this free public lecture next Wednesday on #architect #GeorgeShaw: one of Britain’s most prolific, but, until recently, largely forgotten #forgers of #Tudor #furniture, including this ‘four-poster’ made for the 4th Duke of Northumberland.

Really pleased with the long-term interpretation of some of the #Tudor and #Victorian work at Chetham's Library (latter by local architect George Shaw). All prepared as part of my Arts and Humanities Research Council impact project via Welsh School of Architecture Cardiff University 'Tudor Template for a Northern Rouge'.
