Summary of my last two weeks: - passed my PhD viva🥳 - moved to Switzerland🇨🇭 - started a new job at Climeworks! Massive thanks to everyone in the Petit Materials Lab for a wonderful PhD experience these last 4.5 years, and I'm looking forward to this next phase of my journey!

Our assessment of TIFSIX-3-Ni for #directaircapture is now published! Here we again focused on investigating as many adsorbent properties relevant to process modelling as possible. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac… Work done with Petit Materials Lab at Imperial ChemEng

Congratulations 🎉 to our very own Ioanna Ioanna Itskou for winning best presentation prize at our Departmental PhD Symposium talking about her work on #SolarFuels ☀️ Very impressive talks from all presenters! Imperial ChemEng European Research Council (ERC)

We’re kicking off day 4 of #BZA2024 with Barrer award winning Dr Andrea Laybourn @andrealaybourn.bsky.social with the talk entitled “Let it flow: Production of metal organic frameworks and hybrids using microwave and flow technologies”

First first-author study for Ioanna Itskou from Petit Materials Lab Imperial ChemEng. A collaboration with Imperial Materials Imperial Chemistry Diamond Light Source. The effects of P-doping on porous BN are uncovered from chemistry to photocatalytic activity. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…

We presented a poster & paper on our work with Omar Matar, Petit Materials Lab, Andrius Patapas & Jason Stafford at the IOM3’s 43rd Cement & Concrete Science Conference at Queen's University Belfast 🎓. Alperen's presentation received significant interest & we look forward to presenting more in the future.

Today, I was in Vienna for TUW-Imperial kick-off event. The aim was to actively and specifically discuss future co-operation and funding opportunities. Nice talks and a lot of opportunities for collaboration! Petit Materials Lab Imperial College London TU Wien Faculty of Technical Chemistry, TU Wien

Great experience at Diamond Light Source’s B18 beamline! Collected valuable data for my research on plasmonic NPs for photocatalysis. Thank you B18 team for all your support. Petit Materials Lab Diamond B18 Imperial ChemEng Diamond Light Source
