Police actively investigating multiple reports of flyers with antisemitic messages on them found in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood. The flyers were sealed in clear bags and weighted with kernels of corn so they could be thrown from a moving vehicle. Info? Call (412) 422-6520.

Zone 3 detectives made two arrests in the recent thefts of industrial air conditioning units. Stephen Chojnicki and Katherine Fink face multiple charges including Conspiracy, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Theft of Secondary Metal, Receiving Stolen Property, and Criminal Mischief.

Members of the Bomb Squad visited Schiller STEAM Academy to present to students. Sessions featured demonstrations of robot detection tools, discussions on safety awareness, and info about careers in law enforcement. The Zone 1 Safer Together Coordinator also attended!

UPDATE: Pittsburgh Police have identified Jeremy Brokaw, 45, of Zanesville, Ohio as the suspect in this incident. After consulting with the District Attorney's Office, more than 160 traffic citations have been issued. Each citation carries a $300 fine. Original post:

SVU detectives arrested a suspect following an investigation into two separate sexual assaults in Oakland. Tyree Jackson, 24, turned himself in on warrants issued for his arrest. Jackson faces multiple charges and is being held in the ACJ. The investigation is ongoing.

Pittsburgh Police unexpectedly lost a member of the K9 Unit on June 11 due to a medical emergency. K9 Miky was a six-year-old Belgian Malinois. K9 Miky and his handler Officer Schwartzmiller graduated from the PBP K9 School on January 24, 2020. K9 Miky will be greatly missed.

Pittsburgh Police unexpectedly lost a member of the K9 Unit on June 11 due to a medical emergency. K9 Miky was a six-year-old Belgian Malinois.

UPDATE: Detectives arrested Christopher Harris Jr. in connection with this incident. Harris, 30, of Sidney, OH is charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. He was transported to the ACJ.
