Listening to #lboroinaugural lecture from Prof Ksenia Chmutina on disaster risk production or disaster risk reduction introduced by Prof Nick Jennings. Enjoying the 3 little pigs e.g. where the wolf is less the problem than the poor structures the pigs lived in. Rings true to the real world..

Up 2nd in the #lboroInaugural is Prof. Dan Parsons @LboroUniversity 🌏💧🛰🌊⚽️🏏⛳🏈 with a hard act to follow. It is clear his love of rocks come from his childhood spent in North Wales. I am learning lots about how Bedford relates to rocks…

Posting late for #WorldEnvironmentDay as have had no internet. I met the inspirational Johnson (an ex street boy turned environmental rapper) and his bird Rogers at a tree planting ceremony at @Aphrc when visiting Dr Elizabeth Kimani-Murage - #JusticeFirst! for a grant writing workshop from Loughborough University.

What an amazing week visiting from Loughborough University at APHRC working in partnership with inspiring colleagues and stakeholders led by @lizkimani to evolve our NIHR Global Health groups application. Amazing discussions revealing the complexity and importance of the issue. Thank you 🤩.

Listen to Loughborough University based Hibbah A. Osei-Kwasi (RNut), PhD sharing what she has learned about reducing ethnic health inequalities through diet on the #ExpertsinHealth podcast

Just listening to Prof Du Plessis from Stellenbosch University visiting Loughborough University Loughborough IAS talking about stunting (low height for age) in children from South Africa and the need for multi disciplinary solutions to the problem.

Prof Du Plessis title for her Loughborough IAS seminar to break free, grow tall and reach far is very pertinent to solving the problem of stunting in South Africa

So proud of Loughborough University SSEHS physiologists receiving an outstanding award from the Physiological Society for their outstanding physiology contributions to sport exercise and health sciences. Recognition of the amazing team work in this outstanding group.

findaphd.com/phds/project/c… A great #PhD opportunity with Natalie Pearson (Velati) Lauren Sherar Hibbah A. Osei-Kwasi (RNut), PhD and Paula Griffiths (She, Her) for someone who wants to do implementation research to improve the lifestyles of adolescents in urban Kenya and Ghana. Congratulations Hibbah A. Osei-Kwasi (RNut), PhD on your nomination. The work you do to reduce inequalities in nutrition both in your Loughborough University LboroSSEHS research and in your volunteering time truly deserves this nomination.

A great opportunity to come and work with us. If you are interested in implementation research in Ghana and Kenya related to physical activity and nutrition this LboroSSEHS Loughborough University opportunity could be for you. Applications by July 21st. Happy to answer questions 🙂

It was an honour for me to watch so many wonderful LboroSSEHS doctoral researchers walk across the stage to receive their certificates from @Stacyclemes this morning and to be a proud supervisor to Damith and Joshua.

Likely the most deserving ever winner of an Loughborough University medal. Sandra & her team mate Sheila were amazing to me in my 1st office in Wavy Top. They helped me settle and always had friendly words for me. Lboro's silent heroes 🥳. Such an inspiration. Here is my ovation 👏

Congratulations to Loughborough University @ssehs Hibbah A. Osei-Kwasi (RNut), PhD and CAHN for your digital health award. The work that you are doing is really improving #nutrition with #inclusivity at the heart of all that you do.

Congratulations Stacy Clemes for this well deserved special recognition award. You have made so much difference to our LboroSSEHS doctoral researchers. Thank you 🤩
