Flavoenzymes are amazing biocatalysts. In this review, Bom D. Trisrivirat Chalermroj Sutthaphirom highlighted selected flavoenzyme oxidases which push catalysis beyond oxidation. #biocatalysis #EnzymeMechanism #Flavoenzyme #flavin

Very happy to share our contribution in Synthetic Biology by our big team. Thanks everyone in this long and hard project. "A versatile in situ cofactor enhancing system for meeting cellular demands for engineered metabolic pathways" jbc.org/article/S0021-â€Ķ

Untargeted metabolomics were used to identify patterns of metabolite changes and found that different cells showed different patterns of metabolite enhancement. Only routes leading towards cofactors in need were enhanced.

The system acts a cofactor enhancing system upon cell demands “User-pool effects”. The XR/lactose is an efficient cofactor enhancer because it does not create burden for cells. We will continue to explore effects of XR/lactose in other cell prototypes.

Happy to share our latest perspective on flavin-dependent halogenases. Kridsadakorn Nook Prakinee discussed reactions and mechanisms of recently discovered halogenases. We also discussed non-native halogenase scaffolds and expansion of halogenase biocatalytic scopes. doi.org/10.1002/cctc.2â€Ķ
