I have no doubt local voters will remember Chris Loder's actions when it comes to the next election. An utterly disgraceful way for an MP to behave towards his constituents. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

#Peru There are over 4,000 varieties of potato in Peru. A hectare of potatoes yields 2-4 x the food quantity of grain crops. Potatoes produce more food per unit of water than any other major crop Vitamins, carotenoids & phenylpropanoids in potatoes: mdpi.com/1082662

Brexit bonus! UK waterways to be filthy for three decades - wouldn’t have been allowed by EU, made poss by Brexit. In 36 years, many rivers may be beyond repair. News sneaked out just before Xmas. Great story by my colleague ⁦Sandra Laville⁩ theguardian.com/environment/20…

Chart brings home my time in NHS. I started with long waiting lists in the 1980's - 18 months for hip. Then Thatcher night of the long knives where staff were cut. Then Blair/Brown. Those were amazing years - I did not believe we could get those waiting lists down but we did! 1/3

Knepp rewilding on the up and up. Nature tourism thriving. More jobs created. Quality food produced. Nightingales up to 36 singing males. Large Tortoiseshell butterfly breeding. If the hundreds of other rewilding projects deliver even just half of this, we can turn things around.

Pyropteron triannuliformis attracted to a pheromone lure. This #Sesiidae is known from Brandenburg, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt in #Germany. This is the first proof for their occurence in Lower Saxony (a short publication will hopefully follow soon).

I found a turtle on Perranporth beach this morning - I think it’s a Loggerhead. I tried to get it back in the sea but to no avail. Luckily it was quickly rescued and I believe is on it’s way to Newquay aquarium- hopefully they’ll be able to release it. ⁦@CwallWildlife⁩

Last year PM Boris Johnson took his entourage of 24 out for a banquet in New York. He paid £4445.07 & used the Foreign Office's credit card. Remember, you paid for this & 10 infant school children could have been fed for a year instead. They know no shame. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…
