Finished reading ‘Our Urban Future’, a newish book on urban sustainability by a couple of profs from the U. of Chicago. Nice mix of green infrastructure + transportation + neighborhood design/planning + relevant sidebar studies/readings throughout. Available at Cleveland Public Library

Thanks to Cleveland State Magazine for the coverage of Every Street Cleveland! Great photos, too. (Finally got to break out my CSU shirt). Roads Less Traveled clevelandstatemagazine.com/2024/09/24/phi…

Was asked to speak to Lakewood City Council tonight about Cleveland’s Complete & Green Street program. Lakewood is looking to incorporate their own policy so Jacob VanSickle and I shared some insight as to Cleveland’s evolution. Thanks to Kyle Baker for the invite.

Old Brooklyn Street Fest was well done. Bonus: got to watch that Guardians grand slam while drinking a beer in the middle of Broadview. Pretty unique and memorable. Great job Old Brooklyn CDC and Councilwoman Rebecca Maurer

HUGE shoutout to Holden Forests & Gardens Tree Corps for their help with re-mulching, staking & pruning of over two dozen young(ish) trees City of Cleveland City Hall today. This included hauling hundreds of lbs of stone from tree pits for nearly 6 hours. These trees are looking so much better.

Project planning meeting with the Metro West CDO team this morning. Thanks to a $75k grant from the Cleveland Tree Coalition, we’re going to plant 50 trees between Clark Ave and Storer Ave on W. 65th in Stockyards this month. Coming in 2025: Greening up Storer Ave.
