Honored to attend the 2025 Hoboken Housing Hall of Fame Ceremony. Thanks to The HHA team for hosting this meaningful event. Congratulation to the HHA Hall of Fame’s newest members — Carlos Lopez and Erick Ortiz — and thanks to Carlos & Erick for sharing their inspiring journeys.

VICTORY: Hoboken Passes Ordinance to Ban Rent-Setting Algorithms Hoboken has become the second city in New Jersey to outlaw collusion through rent-setting software. Thank you sponsors Phil Cohen and Joe Quintero! 1/

“Hoboken residents are facing an affordability crisis and need to be protected from landlord collusion and dubious rent-setting algorithms. This ordinance will do just that.” -Ana Maria Hill, New Jersey State Director for 32BJ SEIU 2/2

This is patently false. DHS has authority to question and search people coming into the country at points of entry. But ICE may not detain and question anyone without reasonable suspicion — and certainly not based on their physical appearance alone. This lawlessness must stop.

To make the Trump/Rubio massive and tragic purge at the Department of State more real, let me tell you about one of those fired, whom I know personally. He is a decorated public diplomacy officer with fluent Russian and a Stanford master's degree in technology policy. He served overseas

This is incredibly frustrating to countless residents who rely on PATH Train on weekends and reasonably expect reliable service. The Port Authority of NY & NJ can & should be doing much better.

Law enforcement should be required to identify themselves. We've seen police, wearing hoodies & masks, make arrests that look more like kidnappings in an authoritarian country. With reports of people impersonating ICE, our bill is more important than ever. wlns.com/top-stories/se…
