Reposted to edit out the patient’s list of medical concerns . Why does this PA student think that this is appropriate? What are the PA schools teaching these people ?

Imagine how you feel as a young doctor in this climate. You’re being actively replaced with lesser trained staff. It has been wilfully enabled by the GMC and the Royal Colleges. Your union has slept on the issue for years. Rather depressing to be honest.

Good to hear confirmation that the Royal College of Physicians will NOT change their stance regards PAs & their scope Couple that with Royal College of General Practitioners saying 'No role' So here is the thing: If now The Leng review says 'scope can be as per local' The question is what role-or respect- the Colleges have any

@medicalmodelwithabriochebun University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust James Steen Luke Mordecai Anaesthetists United The Leng review it's a very special Trust. Along with Sheffield and St georges? They are the pockets i previously mentioned-which would be the small pockets where PAs work. As ever- led by a few seniors who believe this to be the way. Yet- now in isolation-than the norm.

What we’ve seen today is thanks to the British people.’ Palestinian Ambassador Husam Zomlot thanks Brits for their ‘unprecedented solidarity’, saying it allowed for today's ‘watershed’ measures against Israel.

A new General Practice campaign is calling on the government to #endGPunemployment once and for all. The chairs of the BMA's GP committees have written to health secretary Wes Streeting warning that as many as a thousand new GPs could be jobless when they qualify later this summer.

I wanted to come back to this This is the PA curriculum approved by GMC. HC stated GMC can only call PAs “Medical Professionals” because though they are unqualified, they are performing doctors’ roles. Now GMC is letting them do it without a doctor’s overnight. Is this safe?

The Leng review Dear The Leng review , I am interested that nowhere in your thread does it mention safety . Transparency is a nice management word but is trumped surely by the only thing really important to patients is safety and the regulation of safety . Thankyou

Phil Steart 🇺🇦 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ⚽️ Dr Melissa Ryan 🦀 Dr Luke Craddock And the govt plans to triple PA numbers, and increase AA numbers at 10-fold - all of which is B7/8 pay, senior doctor level pay. So Department of Health and Social Care has committed to wasting even more money than it already does, but won’t pay doctors fairly.

I am going to take a moment to say thank you to Wes Streeting who has confirmed that International Medical Graduates already serving in the #NHS will NOT be disadvantaged It confirms what I have also heard back. Look forward to details - but reassuring indeed. If I may?

High plains drifter Marilyn Not at all awkward - AAs should not be delivering anaesthesia for elective surgery in a local or distant supervisory manner They are unregistered healthcare workers with limited training & knowledge - it is unsafe

Young female patient saw a physician associate yesterday (NHS). Diagnosed as anxiety 🙄. Rang me with altered/ slurred speech (Private). Full blown tardive dyskinesia as obvious a case as you can get didn’t even need to see. STOP THE MADNESS FOR FUCK SAKE. Medicine is HARD.
