Tomorrow, January 7th - is the 574th anniversary, since King James II of Scotland asked Pope Nicholas V to grant a Papal bull, authorising Bishop William Turnbull of Glasgow to set up a university. University of Glasgow is the fourth oldest in the English-speaking world. Via Veritas Vita💙



It's our birthday! University of Glasgow turns 574 🎂 #Onthisday in 1451, Pope Nicholas V granted the University in a letter authenticated with a lead seal or 'Bull' (The Papal Bull), allowing Bishop William Turnbull to found the University into the institution we know & love today 💙

Today is the first day of the 21st (!) iteration of the Robert Burns MOOC The Centre for Robert Burns Studies. Engaging with another global cohort of learners as they discover the bard.
