1/ We’ve been sounding the alarm for months and now the Congressional Budget Office has confirmed it. This budget would gut Medicaid and SNAP, saddle states with new costs, and do real harm to working people. Let’s break it down 🧵

It was great to join Domestic Workers and Councilmember Kendra Brooks today as Mayor Cherelle L. Parker signed the Power Act into law 👏 The Power Act empowers the Office of Worker Protection to hold those breaking labor laws accountable and helps protect our cities most vulnerable workers ✊

I don’t know what makes me more sick, the E. coli outbreak caused by Musk and Co or DOGE’s continued anti- worker, anti- union BS? One makes it hard to stop losing the contents of my stomach and I don’t think it’s from the bacteria 🦠

The POWER Act was passed into law yesterday! This important bill is one I'm proud to have supported, granting Philly workers with new rights and more power on the job. As the former Director of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, this is an issue I've seen firsthand

✊ Proud to stand with Whole Foods Workers United & my UFCW family outside the 1st unionized Whole Foods in the country—right here in Philly. Amazon must stop stalling & bargain in good faith. Solidarity means showing up—and we’re not going anywhere.

call it what it is: the BBB (bad bad bill) is a thinly veiled attempt to destroy the working class by stripping our social services away, cutting healthcare from millions, and eliminating countless jobs. You can’t stand for workers and working families and vote for the BBB

Whole Foods workers in Philly voted to become the only unionized location in the country. But Jeff Bezos and his company are refusing to respect the union election. Bezos wants to make Whole Foods the Amazon of supermarkets, but workers at both companies are fighting back.

The Senate is considering a budget that would have the largest cuts in history to Medicaid and SNAP food assistance. Gutting essential services and giving tax breaks to billionaires won’t help working families. Tell your senators no cuts that hurt working families! 📲231-400-0602
