Please stop thinking of general education as a chance to introduce students to various forms of expertise. General education is for liberal learning, pursued for its own sake, with an eye on wisdom.

For nearly 50 years Motability Foundation has given back mobility to disabled people. Founded by Lords Goodman and Sterling under the finest disability Minister we have had, Alf Morris. It uses the benefit he created to lease cars. I have never known this scheme so under ignorant attack.

Went out for a ride this morning at 6. By 6.30 I was regretting it and thinking about coming home: lots of fog , freezing toes and fingers, and poor night's sleep. But I'm glad I stuck with it. My hilliest route yet and great views.

These results suggest that getting a PhD causally worsens mental health, or at least receiving psychiatric medicines. The reversal post PhD degree is particularly convincing. But the up trend among the control group is intriguing. The highly educated are in distress.

Does Robert Jenrick realise English clubs were banned from playing in any European football competitions after May 1985 for the rest of the decade, returning only in 1990/91, after Heysel disaster, as UEFA + our government felt fans couldn't be policed safely travelling away?
