Tomorrow I meet with my mentor, Im going to ask him for tips on how I can help out more in the classroom. Mrs. Mero

Today at my internship I grades the students homework while they took a test. I had to correct the ones that were wrong and then hand it back to them by putting it in their folders. Mrs. Mero

Tomorrow I get to meet with my wonderful mentor Mr. Shaw. Im going to ask him how I could be more productive in the classroom. Mrs. Mero

Another thing im going to ask Mr. Shaw, my mentor, is how I could connect with the students better, and how I can get them to focus on me when I work in small groups or one on one with them. Mrs. Mero

At my internship today the kids had the New York State testing in the morning so they had a little extra free time instead of more reading time. This is the first year they have ever had to take the test, most of them were not the biggest fans. Mrs. Mero

I enjoy getting to be more hands on with the kids at my internship. I get to work in a small group of 5 or 6 of them to help them. They're always so engaged in what I have to say. Mrs. Mero

With the teacher at my internship we are going to make a lesson plan together or something I can present to the kids to give me a real experience of teaching soon. Mrs. Mero

My mentor Mr. Shaw always gives me the best advice when I get to see him. Our next meeting is tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to what he's going to tell me next. Mrs. Mero

I would like to share that I will be attending SUNY Cortland in the fall. Im majoring in Early Childhood Education! Im so exciting to join this program and Im so glad my internship is helping me prepare for it! Mrs. Mero

today at my internship I collected tests that they took just before I got there. Then they had silent reeding as others finished up the test. Some kids have real physical books and some use a website on their Chromebooks for it to read to them. Mrs. Mero

I just had my mentor meeting with the wonderful Mr. Shaw. We talked about how the internship is going and he helped me use google classroom as a teacher not as a student. Mrs. Mero

today I finally got to go back to my internship after missing a week, it went great! Im so happy to be back in the classroom with these kids! Mrs. Mero

Today at my internship I noticed a lot of the kids didnt have as much energy as normal. They had their math state testing today which really tired them out. Mrs. Mero

When the kids got back to the classroom today I got a group of 4 kids to work with. We went through a math packet. I realized that they are struggling a little bit with finding the area of shapes. Mrs. Mero

Tomorrow I have my mentor meeting with Mr. Shaw, im hoping he will give me some advice on how to help kids stay positive when they aren't really understanding what we are doing in class. Mrs. Mero

Today was my last day of my internship! It was very sad to go but im so glad I got the chance to be a part of a classroom in a teacher role instead of a students! Mrs. Mero

I finished my symposium board and turned that in on Monday, i'm so excited to present it tomorrow night!! Mrs. Mero
