Gaehun Jo of KTH Royal Institute of Technology just published the hermetic sealing results of H2020 MORPHIC silicon photonics MEMS in Optica Publishing Group Photonics Research. This enables large-scale circuits with fragile MEMS devices with high reliability. Tyndall Institute Niels Quack imec
Our overview paper with recent H2020 MORPHIC results on large-scale silicon photonic MEMS from SPIE Photonics West is now available doi.org/10.1117/12.261… , or watch the video: youtu.be/Vodco1mTEQY . imec Niels Quack KTH Royal Institute of Technology Tyndall Institute VLC Photonics CommScope
Coming soon: Horizon Europe 🇪🇺 PHORMIC will build the next generation of silicon photonics with integrated MEMS and lasers, building on H2020 MORPHIC and Microprince project . imec KTH Royal Institute of Technology , Tyndall Institute ASM-Amicra, III-V labs , Sentea, VLC Photonics NVIDIA X-FAB
Great news! The work of H2020 MORPHIC will continue into the Horizon Europe 🇪🇺 project The PHORMIC Project. We will be combining our silicon photonic MEMS technology with transfer-printed lasers to enable the next generation of large-scale programmable photonic circuits.
I am excited to announce that I am delivering an invited talk on the recent progress from the H2020 MORPHIC project at CLEO Conference 𝒲𝒽ℯ𝓃: May 16 2022 at 9.30am Hope to see you there! imec Photonics UGent KTH Royal Institute of Technology Tyndall Institute Niels Quack VLC Photonics CommScope
Ready for CLEO Conference #CLEO2022 . Umar Khan of Photonics UGent will show the latest H2020 MORPHIC results on Silicon Photonic MEMS today in a special session on Micro- and Nanomechanical Photonic Circuits, chaired by our own Kristinn B. Gylfason and Wim Bogaerts cleoconference.org/home/program/a…
Umar Khan of Photonics UGent showed the work in H2020 MORPHIC at CLEO Conference and introduced how The PHORMIC Project will take this work into the future.
I had a great first day at CLEO Conference, particularly during the special session on Micro-and Nanomechanical Photonic ICs ! #CLEO22 If you'd like to see more #photonic #MEMS, I'll be presenting a low-power MEMS add-drop ring resonator, a recent result from H2020 MORPHIC on Friday!
Pierre Edinger presenting our work on #MEMS tunable #silicon #photonics ring resonators in the H2020 MORPHIC project right now at #cleo2022 #cleo22
Lukas Van Iseghem of Photonics UGent just published a cool silicon photonics phase shifter using inkjet-printed liquid crystals in Opt. Mat. Expr. doi.org/10.1364/OME.45… - short video: youtu.be/6plfgu8iqIA Niels Quack KTH Royal Institute of Technology LCP@UGent SCRiPTS imec H2020 MORPHIC
Concluding H2020 MORPHIC with challenging technical discussions, a sauna with a quick dip in the midsummer Baltic, and delicious food. Wonderful meeting in the archipelago near KTH Royal Institute of Technology , with imec Photonics UGent Tyndall Institute CommScope and Niels Quack (virtual)
The H2020 MORPHIC Silicon photonic MEMS devices are captivating the audience at the ePIXfab silicon photonics summer school hosted by Silicon Photonics C2N . Wonderful lecture by Kristinn B. Gylfason from KTH Royal Institute of Technology
This is it! After 4.5 years of enthusiastic collaboration, the H2020 MORPHIC is come to its end point. Thanks Niels Quack KTH Royal Institute of Technology Tyndall Institute CommScope VLC Photonics imec Photonics UGent . But the work does not stop here: get ready for the The PHORMIC Project project.
Today we have the final review meeting of the H2020 MORPHIC project. While an in-person meetign would be even better, we are still enthusiastic to discuss our exciting results, and looking forward to take these to the next level in the The PHORMIC Project project.
Congrats to newly graduated PhD Pierre Edinger on his latest paper on a #MEMS tunable #silicon #photonics ring resonator. The device is sealed in a vacuum cavity and survives over 4 billion cycles. Great collaboration of #horizon2020 H2020 MORPHIC doi.org/10.1364/OE.480…
Pierre Edinger from KTH Royal Institute of Technology just published an impressive MEMS-controlled silicon photonic ring resonator filter in Optics Express. A beautiful demonstration of what the H2020 MORPHIC technology can enable with low-power actuators. imec Niels Quack Photonics UGent
