Past few nights there has been terrible burning smell in Pilton, as soon as night falls. Anybody else noticed?

Reports describe a 30 year old man, knocking at houses where easily accessible windows are left open and then leaving swiftly as the owner approaches. In this hot weather, if you leave your property do not make life easy for burglars.
