Kole Schaunaman placed 5th overall in the 5A javelin at the state meet with a new personal record of 185’04”. Congratulations and great work saving the best for last!

Nora Turney is the 5A 100m hurdle state champion with a dominant performance running 14.52 and leading the race from the start. Congratulations on a huge accomplishment!

Shinji Pollard runs a huge PR in an extraordinarily close race to become the 5A state runner up in the 110m hurdles. Shinji ran a 14.12 on his way to the medal stand!

Carsen Avery medaled in the 110m hurdles placing 7th overall with a time of 14.70. Congratulations Carsen!

The girl’s 4x800m relay team broke their school record once again running a 9:49.82 on their way to a state medal and a 7th place finish. Congratulations Kate Lockamy, Elizabeth Arenas, Breckyn Shaw, Ella Eads

Kylie Rice ran a great 100m dash final in a very close race placing 3rd overall in the 5A State Championship. Congratulations Kylie on a fantastic race!

Skyler Little placed 3rd in the 100m dash in another extraordinarily close race. It’s a great start to Skyler’s state meet with 3 more races to go!

Sophomore Da’Mon Jamierson places 7th in the 5A 100m dash to medal and get on the award stand. Congratulations Da’Mon!

The boy’s 4x100m relay team ran a 42.12 to become the 5A runner up at the 2025 State Championships. That is the second fastest time in school history. Congratulations Shinji Pollard, Da’Mon Jamierson, Eli Watts, Skyler Little!

Freshman Ella L’Heureux placed 7th in the 5A girls long jump in the 2025 State championships. Great job Ella!

Nora Turney get’s her second medal of the state meet in the 5A girls 300 hurdles. Counting Friday's prelims, this was Nora’s 5th race of the weekend. One more race to go to conclude her 2025 season!

Carsen Avery placed 4th in the 5A 300m hurdles in a hard fought race to get on the medal stand. This race rounds out Carsen’s 2025 season and Senior year. Great work and great season Carsen!

Shinji Pollard finishes out his 2025 track & field season placing 8th in the 300m hurdles to get his third state medal of the weekend. This was Shinji’s 7th race of the state meet! Congratulations on a great season!

Skyler Little entered the 5A 200m dash finals with the teams hopes of getting Piper’s 1st 5A state trophy resting on his shoulders. Skyler had to get 4th place or better to score enough points and he came up clutch placing 3rd overall to seal the teams spot on the award stand.

Piper’s final event of the night was the girl’s 4x400m relay. It was a long, busy weekend but amazingly the girls ran their PR in the last race of the season with a 4:03.67 being the second best time in school history.

Senior Kylie Rice has ran in the 4x4 at state all four years and caps a fantastic career for Piper running her career best 4x4 split in her final race with the Pirates!

The boy’s team wins Piper’s first 5A state track & field trophy in school history placing 3rd overall as a team.

Everyone that went on this trip contributed in different ways big and small. It’s not just the point scorers but it’s the culture and atmosphere that everyone on the team created that helped us accomplish this milestone!

A special thank you to all the event coaches! None of this would happen without you! This is easily the most well rounded track & field team in school history with points from all event groups. Thank you Coaches Beebe, Dolinar, Friesen, Kamienski, Lockridge, Lockwood, & Richmond!

Thank you parents, administrators, coaches and of course the athletes for a fantastic 2025 track & field season! It’s a year we will all remember for a long time to come and can’t wait for the 2026 season! Go Pirates!
