I had a great day presenting at the Mental Capacity CEN day last week. Meeting so many passionate and knowledgeable SLTs was inspiring At its core the MCA is about supported decision making and championing the patient voice, and SLTs are a specialist workforce who fulfil this vital role

We urge the next UK Government to #InvestInSLT. The current shortage of Speech and Language Therapists is not working for two-thirds of stroke survivors living with communication problems. More investment is needed for stroke survivors to make their best possible recovery.
