Congratulations to sophomore Daniel Reyes, who was selected as last week's Beaver Toyota Student of the Week! A standout both in the classroom and on the diamond, Daniel is a dedicated baseball player who maintains straight A’s while taking four AICE courses and one AP class.

Congratulations to Hanna-Maria K. for being awarded The Great Kids Award, sponsored by Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

🏴‍☠️ PBIS Prom Ticket Raffle Winners! 🎟️🎉 Yesterday during both lunches, the MHS PBIS team held a raffle for free prom tickets (worth $85 each)! Students entered by dropping their hard-earned Pirate tokens into the tumbler, and the response was AMAZING—it was packed!

Matanzas Theater Company at Matanzas High School, proudly presents the hit Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors in the Pirate Theater on April 3-5 at 7pm, with a special matinee at 2pm on April 5.

Our outstanding MHS/Kiwanis Seniors of the Month for March, April, and May were recognized by the Kiwanis Club of Palm Coast for their remarkable achievements and leadership both on campus and in the community.

Congratulations to Digital Media student, Lily W. for winning 2nd place in the Flagler Voters Guide Cover design contest! Lily was recognized at the most recent School Board meeting for her beautiful design work. Thank you Flagler Elections for the opportunity.

Cyber Security student, Tiago D., just became the 500th student to earn an Industry Certification at MHS this school-year! Our CTE students are on a roll! 🔥💙🏴‍☠️

Matanzas Blue Steel had the privilege of hosting Mr. Tom Miller from the University of Denver. He worked with the steelbands & percussion ensemble for 4 days providing his expertise on pan to enhance and perfect their performances. Thank you, Tom Miller!

Last Wednesday, we recognized and appreciated our outstanding clerical team, the behind-the-scenes heroes who keep Matanzas running smoothly every day. Whether they’re answering phones, solving problems, or organizing the unorganizable, they are truly the heartbeat of our campus.

Yesterday evening, the Matanzas High School and Flagler Palm Coast High School seniors who will be joining the military were honored at the VFW at the Robert Beck Memorial honor cord ceremony. Major Mallard, Matanzas Senior JROTC instructor, was also honored.

We officially cut the ribbon on our very own Little Free Library at MHS! You can find this bookish beauty right outside the front gate, making it super easy for students and the community to dive into a good read. Remember the golden rule: "Take a book, leave a book!" 📚

We are SO proud of you, ladies!
