Terrific talk by William Matchin at #AoA2022 !! Would you expect the same results if you were to use different non-canonical sentence? Linguistic processes and verb types may play a role.

Grat #aoa2022 talk by Joanne Niemkiewicz et al. on semantic network and creativity in people with #aphasia. Evidence that PWA are *more* creative in a Forward Flow Task than people without aphasia. Adapting to anomia with successful circumlocution *is* creativity!

So much fun socializing at the reception PAFA - Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts #AoA2022

Stellar #AoA2022 presentation by Pitt Communication Science and Disorders and Language Brain alum Haley Dresang, PhD, describing fascinating findings on how semantic and phonological processing abilities moderate the effects of TMS on #aphasia treatment response.

The hits keep coming - Pitt Communication Science and Disorders and Pitt Language Rehab and Cognition Lab stalwart @rb_cavanaugh just presented exciting evidence that the act of feature generation during SFA contributes not only to tx outcomes but in-the-moment word production in #aphasia #AoA2022

Thanks to the organizers of #AoA2022 & Center for Brain Recovery for such a fun, exciting, and dynamic conference! While we're all still glowing, please help me spread that word that I am currently accepting PhD applications. Come to Pitt for training in #aphasia rehabilitation research!

Need a primer on reproducible analysis of small-N designs in CSD? This #JSLHR tutorial uses open data, annotated scripts, & a web app to explore common effect sizes using examples from aphasiology. on.asha.org/3X0EtIj @rb_cavanaugh Pitt Language Rehab and Cognition Lab SIGPerspectives CSDisseminate

Pitt Language Rehab and Cognition Lab is doing phenomenal things. Don't miss his talk this coming Friday, or if you're lame like me and can't make it, don't forget that it'll be put on YouTube after!

I'm looking forward giving this talk on Friday. Thank you #CSTAR for the opportunity! More info here: cstar.sc.edu/wp-content/upl… #aphasia Pitt Communication Science and Disorders
