The Company was very sorry and saddened by the news of the passing of The Very Revd Dr John Moses, Plaisterers’ Honorary Chaplain from 1999 to 2017, who passed away on 14 July 2024. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

The third annual Inter-Livery Pétanque Competition took place recently & the Plaisterers Team did brilliantly & came 3rd out of 32 👏 Many thanks to the Distillers for organising; to the London Pétanque Club for hosting; and also to the Vintners for supplying delicious rosé!

Last month, the Plaisterers attended a Construction Fair at Specialist Trade Courses Ltd, a construction-focused training company where students all had a go at the skilled trades represented there. Many thanks to Locker & Riley for setting up and running this event for us.

The Master & Clerk were at Canary Wharf around 5am on 20th September to see MagicalTaxiTour taxis take children with potentially life-threatening illnesses on a trip to Disneyland in Paris, one of which was sponsored by the Plaisterers Charity. #thePlaisterers #cityoflondon

On Sunday 29 September, a group of Plaisterers had a fun day driving sheep over Southwark Bridge. Organised by the Worshipful Company of Woolmen, it re-enacted the ancient right of Freemen of the City of London to drive cattle over the Thames, without paying taxes.
