We're delighted that Welsh Government has brought clarity for farmers about the Universal Layer of the upcoming SFS but the scheme’s ambition doesn’t match up with the resources needed to drive change for nature. Wales is at risk of failing to meet international commitments.

Now is the time to collect Yellow Rattle seeds to sow. They create a meadow by weakening grasses and allow diverse plants to colonise. One of its names in Welsh means the scytheman’s money, which tells that once the Yellow Rattle finished flowering the scytheman would be paid!
