While this is playing out, people are anxious - desperate - about the security of their homes & jobs, their debts, rent & benefits. This is not a political game. Economic stress is the most powerful driver of mental ill-health & suicide.

Many of you will be dismayed at the way our Prime Minister talked about mental health and work today. Here at Playing Sane we know we can do better. Mental health challenges are real, tangible, measurable experiences. You are not cheating the system by claiming that.

Our current government seems to have little understanding of #mentalhealth, mental health based disabilities, or their own benefits system. Mental health matters. We can do so much better.
