The Plymouth Labour Council Deputy Leader Jemima Laing and Cornwall & District Labour Council's Kate Ewart hearing about the year to come #LGAConf25 LGA Labour

🌊It’s all going swimmingly 🏊♂️ 🏊♂️ There were 250 young people at our Plymouth City Council Community Youth Team Youth night last night, swimming for free at Tinside How fantastic 😀

A huge 'thank you' to my brilliant team who work their socks off to help people here in Plymouth. In June, my team and I resolved 1178 cases - issues raised with me by residents here in Plymouth Sutton and Devonport. ✉️ [email protected] 📞 01752 717255

So proud that we won an award for Plymouth City Council #Plan4Homes Broadland Gardens scheme at #MMPA2025 - thanks to everyone who contributed to the development. So sad that the late Alderman Vivien Pengelly who worked with me on this one from the very beginning.

Always great to see Cooperative Councils’ Innovation Network legend Nicola Huckerby at Conference!

Great to meet Jim McMahon MP at #LGAConf25 and bring him up to date with progress on LGR for Plymouth, housing ambitions and some early feedback on his plans to introduce fairer funding for councils like ours.

Always happy to hear the latest news from my brilliant friend Labourstone #lgaconf2025

Waiting for the synchronised swimmers to start at Hello Sailor! Jeremy Deller's event Tinside Lido as part of The Triumph of Art, National Gallery's 200th anniversary for which Plymouth is the English location

Efford and Lipson Plymouth Labour councillors met with the policing team, Plymouth City Council staff and High View School leaders last week to discuss school parking and traffic issues. Great to have so many people working together on this.

Proud to announce Blue Sparks Community Grants with Tudor Evans in Cabinet today. Looking forward to seeing ideas from local organisations to enhance marine citizenship.

🌹Colourful roundabouts: you said; Plymouth Labour did 🐝 Rooted in community feedback from our Summer of Nature, I asked PCC’s Grounds team to plant pollinator-friendly flowers across Plymouth’s key junctions. They’re now in bloom and buzzing with bees! Check out Milehouse.👇
