I did a terrible job of pregaming for Toto & Christopher Cross & Men at Work. That concert is TONIGHT! Going with the Mrs. Wayne is going to Counting Crows & The Gaslight Anthem in Clearwater. If you lived in Central Florida, would you be hanging with me tonight or with Wayne?

Saw Toto again last night. Another great show. Their new keyboardist/high part singer Dennis Atlas is awesome. Great addition to the band. Greg Philliganes for the lineup is 🔥. I’m here to remind you…. “Africa” is a good song. Screw Wayne. 😉

Been a minute since I’ve listened to Talk Talk. “The Party’s Over” is how I’ve been feeling lately about a long of things…especially about work and podcasting. Includes “Today” and “Talk Talk.” Not my favorite album from the band but not a bad debut. Thoughts on this one?

Pick the Dave that I’m gonna play next… Do I play Dave Grusin or Dave Brubeck? Or should I play a different Dave? And if you say Dave Matthews, I may unfriend you.

Listening to The Outlaws self titled from 1975. This listen prompted by Bud Verge who posted about listening to it last week. “There Goes Another Love Song” doesn’t get talked about enough as a killer pop country song. Anyone else dig this album like me and Bud?

Time for some Bon Iver. Relistening to “Sable, Fable.” So far it’s my 2nd favorite album of 2025. I think it might end up being my 2nd favorite Bon Iver album. That’s how much I like it. Thoughts on this album?

I didn’t appreciate Ozzy when I was younger. My love and appreciation for his solo work and Black Sabbath has happened over the last 6-7 years. And I’m glad I jumped on that train (pun intended). We will never have another Ozzy. RIP.

Next up: the debut from Del the Funky Homosapien…”I Wish My Brother George Was Here” from 1991. Ice Cube is the executive producer. Cube is also Del’s cousin. I’m not a huge rap guy but this album works for me. Anyone else know this album and/or artist?

Next up in my Indigo Girls discography listen: “Shaming of the Sun” from 1997. Includes “Shame on You” & “Get Out The Map.” I like the risks they made on this record. Go listen to “Leeds” & “Scooter Boys” for examples. I think this was their “Automatic for the People.”

Listening to the “No Nukes” concert compilation from 1979. Heavy hitters all over this one…Bruce, CSN, Doobies, JT, Jackson Browne and more. I forgot how much I hate the song “Mockingbird.” Shout out to Bud Verge for the hookup on this one. What would you crank up off this?

Next up: “On the Border” from Eagles (or is THE Eagles?). I had “James Dean” stuck in my head today. Every time I post about listening to Eagles I always get a few haters. If you’re one of the haters, why do you hate? You hate the harmonies? Hate Don? Hate Glenn? What is it?

Goodwill Hunting mini haul today…. Any day you can add an Albert King album to the collection is a good day. Adding two? Even better. Which album should I crank up on my drive home from the dentist?

Just putting this out there… “That’s Gonna Leave a Mark” is my current favorite song of 2025. Cannot wait for the full new album from Molly Tuttle. What’s your favorite song of 2025 so far?

Technically next in the Indigo Girls discography listens is their EP for “Shed Your Skin.” Yep, the remix is done by that Tom Morello dude. But, I don’t love the mix much. Includes a live cover version of “Blister In The Sun” and some other live tunes. Anyone know this EP?

Feeling optimistic today. Accepted a job offer last week. Excited for the new chapter. Feels like a beautiful world…a wonderful time to be free. Will I be motivated at all for the next two weeks? It’s a struggle. Anyone got tips to stay focused while being a short timer?
