Thanks to Kenyon Review for publishing my translation of a poem, THE LONG VIEW, by the Chinese poet YE Hui in the "Rural Spaces" folio of the latest issue. The poem ends with the line: "There aren't unicorns or swords / But the void when the truth comes into view" -

"Forever illuminated / By a ray of indifferent light" wisely writes the Chinese poet YE Hui in his poem "The Graveyard" - Thanks to nashville review & esp. editor Kumari Devarajan for publishing my translation following the original in the latest issue: wp0.vanderbilt.edu/nashvillerevie…

Congrats to Eric Larsh, the writer-editor-bookseller-musician poet, & Cathexis Northwest Press for publishing Eric's ambitious debut poetry collection DESERT!! I contributed a blurb, but it felt like giving a small hand to a local ecosystem...Here's the book link: cathexisnorthwestpress.com/product-page/d…

Erudite & exacting, Jeffrey Yang’s LINE AND LIGHT Graywolf Press draws different worlds out of time’s “displaced embrace” & blends collaborative breath into words that are so refined & rectifying that reading becomes rendering. Now open this “memory place”& “walk into spring.”

Thanks to Cincinnati Review especially editors @bexlindenberg & Lisa Ampleman for publishing the Chinese poet 叶辉 YE Hui's two poems 《遗址》《陌生人》and my English translations "The Ruins" & "The Stranger." Here's a teaser. Hope you'll support the journal: cincinnatireview.com/issue/21-2/

Thanks to Georgia Review, esp. editors Gerald Maa & CJ Bartunek, for publishing an excerpt from a long poem "ocean or tree" in the latest issue! thegeorgiareview.com/shop/issues/wi… Here's 1st page of my 6 page excerpt that begins with "survivors with love" - yes let us all survive with love!

A GREEK TRAGEDY Jeanne Carstensen (One Signal Publishers 03/2025) is an overwhelming read. Acutely woven in dignified and disarming prose that pulls you out of the muddled waters of crises and humanity into clear sky and sight, this book is a prayer of kindness & a plea for solidarity.

An honor to translate this deeply moving book OBIT Copper Canyon Press by Victoria Chang Victoria Chang into Mandarin Chinese. The Chinese edition will appear this summer from East China Normal University Press. A delight to work with Victoria. I have learned much and hope to do more.

Thank you, Jesse Nathan Jesse Nathan & McSweeney's McSweeney's for such a moving review & conversation, just before THE ORANGE TREE turns two years old! Hope you'll check this out and many other conversations with poets in the wonderful series! shorturl.at/Po258

Honored to serve & learn from the Princeton community as Translator-in-Residence for fall 2025. Thanks to PIIRS, esp. Director David Bellos & manager Yolanda A. Sullivan. Thanks also to Deep Vellum & Giramondo Publishing for supporting my English translations. Humbly yours.

Erica Hunt’s JUMP THE CLOCK Nightboat Books is proof that thoughts are also songs &that the lyric is subversively investigative. “It is a whole world, with its own affections, anxieties, welcome.” Yes, welcome. Yes to this welcoming web of language making our partial selves whole

Thanks to Asymptote Journal esp. editors Danielle Pieratti & Tiffany Troy for publishing my English translation of 4 poems by LIU Ligan in this latest GIFT issue! In LIU's poems, lyrical singing is revised and intensified by the slow burn of fiction... asymptotejournal.com/poetry/four-po…
