We’re delighted to announce that J. R. Carpenter J. R. Carpenter will be performing as part of our Friday night ‘Beyond the Book’ event. A Canadian born UK-based artist, writer, performer & researcher working across performance, print, and digital media, she also lectures at Leeds.

We are pleased to announce that Ian Patterson will give the Robin Boyd Memorial lecture this year on Sunday morning. In his lecture ‘Reading Time and Writing Time’ Ian will talk about landmark modernist poems and novels, and some more recent ones, though the optic of time.

We’re delighted to announce that Patience Agbabi will be performing on Sunday at this year’s Poetry in Aldeburgh. Her work is musical in every sense, attuned as much to the punning & political immediacy of the rhythms of rap & dub, as it is to the sonnet, sestina and rime royale.
