Currently 5/25 at 10:10 am, the 911 system in Geauga County is down. Windstream has been contacted. If you need the Chardon Police or Fire Depts. call (440) 286-6123. The Sheriff's Office can be reached at (440) 286-1234.

Windstream has repaired the Geauga County 911 phone lines. 911 service has been restored.

The Chardon Police Department phone lines are currently down. CALL 911 for emergency assistance. For non-emergency matters call the Geauga Sheriff's Office (440) 286-1234. Windstream and County IT personnel are working to restore our phone service.

Southern Geauga County is under a tornado warning. Geauga County outdoor weather sirens have been activated. Warning expires at 09:45 pm.

Tornado warning has expired; however, we remain under a severe thunderstorm warning through 11 PM.

Citywide power outage affecting traffic light operation. Generators have been deployed to most power signals. Treat any non-functioning traffic lights as 4 way stops. First Energy has been notified.
