I'm excited to be hiring an economics pre-doc fellow next summer at USC Economics. Projects include the welfare impacts of environmental and climate change policies, and the implementation and analysis of large-scale field experiments.

MrBeast MrBeast This is a great point! There's actually a whole website where economists Nathaniel Hendren Ben Sprung-Keyser listed all the policies like this where gov't gets more back in taxes than it pays for them (we call this MVPF of ♾) policyimpacts.org/policy-impacts…

What are the returns to IRS tax audits? How do they vary across the income distribution? In a new paper🚨, we find that $1 spent auditing high-income taxpayers yields more than $12 in revenue. For an overview, check out Catherine Rampell’s coverage 1/: washingtonpost.com/opinions/inter…

Awesome to see the CBO acknowledge the long-term impact of policy on both human capital development and government savings. This aligns with our findings at Policy Impacts

Watching Nathaniel Hendren on 🔥 presenting his work on IRS audits to the Senate Committee on the Budget! (Paper in the link!)

Excited to share new work on the returns to US environmental policy. We use the MVPF framework to examine 96 policies spanning subsidies, nudges and revenue raisers. Check out this thread from Nathaniel Hendren:
