We’ve had a lovely day today in whale class 🐳, we enjoyed Forest school in the morning where we read the story of The Snail and the Whale , we made our own snail trail out of corn flour and water and used Numicon to count! 🐌 🤩

Our amazing Team Bronze DofE group! First walk of the year for them today - they showed teamwork, inspiration, leadership skills & maturity. So proud of them all!

Nolton class really enjoyed making Pembrokeshire potato cakes this week using a local recipe. We added mashed potatoes, sugar, flour, butter and sultanas to them. They tasted delicious! 🥔 👨‍🍳 🤩

Puffin class have been celebrating Red Nose Day with a red nose race and celebrating World Down Syndrome day by designing our own funky socks. We have had lots of fun 🙂

Dolphin class have enjoyed a fun filled day for Red Nose Day! Practising their fine motor skills to paint a red nose, working on their ball skills, throwing red noses into a net and learning all about the cause through sensory stories. Well done Dolphin class 👏🏼🔴

Some of our 6th Form pupils took part in the gym competition at Pembrokeshire College today. They were amazing! They took home 4 gold medals and were fantastic representatives for Portfield School 🤩 🤸‍♂️ 🥇

Woodland Warriors had a trip to Scolton Manor. We used the Field Studies Council guides to identify the different types of Spring flowers 🌷 and plants 🌿 that we found. For the plants that were not in the guides we used the ICT app iSeek to help identify those 🤩

The tidy team in Lower School took delivery of some resources donated by the Catrin Vaughn Foundation. This will support with our learning outdoors. Thank you very much to the Catrin Vaughn Foundation 🥰 🌳 🏕️

Puffin Class have enjoyed planting bulbs and decorating the pots. We especially enjoyed watering them 🌱💦 😍
