Our port’s success is our city’s success. A pleasure to take a tour of Brittany Ferries’ new Saint Malo, the world’s largest hybrid ferry - part of the most ambitious fleet renewal programme in the company’s history to deliver a cleaner, greener future

Many thanks to our partners Brittany Ferries for hosting us and the Lord Mayor on a tour and sailing aboard the brand new Saint-Malo! She's a fantastic addition to the fleet and we can't wait for passengers to see her first-hand from Wednesday

Tonight we wish Brittany Ferries' new hybrid ship Saint-Malo a Bon Voyage. She sets sail on her maiden commercial sailing from Portsmouth at 2015 this evening, with passengers experiencing the ship for the first time.

This morning saw the first passenger sailing from DFDS UK & IRE as it began its new Portsmouth to Jersey service. The Stena Vinga departed at 0900, and will operate a round-trip journey to the island once a day, from Monday to Saturday.

The second new Channel Island service of the day, Brittany Ferries Islander leaves for her first commercial sailing to Guernsey at 2000 tonight. Previously the Condor Islander, the ship has been rebranded inside and out with new Brittany Ferries livery. 📷: Compass Photography

A sunny morning for a maiden call from Guillaume de Normandie☀️ Brittany Ferries newest hybrid LNG ship will be conducting berthing trails at the port over the next few days. We look forward to her first sailing at Easter on 18 April 🌊

Today we say goodbye to one of the port’s longest serving ships, Normandie. She has served the Caen route since 1992, and was the first cruise-ferry vessel to be based in the port. She will leave us for the last time tonight at 2300. Bonne retraite Normandie. Brittany Ferries

Our port director Mike Sellers wraps up his time as chair of the British Ports Association. The BPA is vital to showcasing the port’s value to the UK. Mike hands over to Doug Bannister as chair, but we’d like to recognise how proud we are of our port director.
