Assembly at Kingsmead School E9 with the junior ecoteam telling their school about the importance of bees and butterflies and how we can help them. For those children scared of insects, the ecoteam taught us how to do an 'I'm not a flower' dance ... one they invented.

Volunteers from Millfields Users Group are helping SQ and Gardening Together put 5000 English bluebells bulbs into a native tree biome planted by Tree Musketeers on the Hackney Buzzline.
Children from Mandeville School helped put 5000 English bluebell bulbs in a native tree biome on the #HackneyBuzzline, planted by Tree Musketeers. Our bluebell blanket will provide a spring source of wild pollen and nectar for pollinators. With help from ELATT and Millfields Users Group.
Children from Kingsmead School E9 school helping sow a butterfly meadow on the Hackney Buzzline. The mix of wildflowers and grass seeds was selected to support the Essex Skipper, whose numbers are regionally declining. The project is supported by Butterfly Conservation π¦ and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

We're thrilled to have formed an art partnership with Hackney Mosaic. Project founder Tessa Hunkin tells how volunteers are making a trail of beautiful bee and butterfly mosaics along the #HackneyBuzzline. We've installed the first pair of mosaics Kingsmead School E9 primary school.
Jamal, Mia, Cindy, and Najat joined the #HackneyBuzzline ecoteam Kingsmead School E9 school. Head teacher Evelyn Deeney asks them what they're doing for pollinators, why we need bees and butterflies, and how they chose two beautiful mosaics for their school, made by Hackney Mosaic.
We've got a new electric cargo bike for Xmas. The bike provides sustainable transport on the Hackney Buzzline. We're also using it to manage Hackney Council street parklets as pollinator havens, working with GrowN22. Thanks to Zero Emissions Network and The National Lottery Heritage Fund for funding.
