We need to agree on and publish a perspective on equally contributing authorship order. Is it ok to switch an order of equally contributing authors (so that each co-first author puts themselves first on CV). Please comment and indicate if you’re PI/student/postdoc/fellow/editor.

Out online today: one of our newest postdocs Yaqiu discusses programmed cell death pathways, molecular crosstalk among #pyroptosis #apoptosis #necroptosis, and the evidence for PANoptosis and the PANoptosome complex. Great work Yaqiu! St. Jude Research sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

So proud of my grad student Alejandro Canaria, Ph. D for getting his first paper out! Turns out STAT3 may not be as important for Th17 cell differentiation as we thought!

The Kanneganti lab is hiring postdocs! Especially looking for #virus expertise at the moment, but always open to anyone with an interest and a passion for innate immunity, cell death, and disease mechanisms. #sciencetwitter #AcademicTwitter #immunology nature.com/naturecareers/…

This study also discovered three functional classes of caspase-4 in nature. One class is like human casp4. Second is like casp1. Third is the first discovered caspase that binds LPS and is an ICE. This latter class bypasses inflammasomes to promote IL-1 release.

Congrats raju karki on new work showing interplay between ADAR1 and ZBP1 prevents cell death. In cancer, targeting this pathway with a combination of IFN and a nuclear export inhibitor activates cell death and regresses tumors! Great work! Cell Reports cell.com/cell-reports/f…

New cell death review focused on the totality of #biological effects in cell death and how taking a holistic view led to an integrated inflammatory cell death concept, PANoptosis. Congrats to Jessica Gullett on her 1st article in our group! St. Jude Research mdpi.com/1611934
