During today's budget debate, I introduced amendments that would: • Keep more tax dollars for education in public schools • Restore the income cap for the private school voucher program • Increase funding for students with disabilities House Republicans blocked all of them.

We can't look taxpayers in the eye and tell them honestly that their tax dollars are going towards a quality education. #ncpol

The House just voted to NOT concur on this relief bill. We sent a perfectly fine bill to the Senate that included grants for small businesses. They took all the grants out. Our region cannot recover if we're not helping our businesses recover too.
