Ahead of one of the biggest concerts of this year's Prague Spring Festival Pražské jaro / Prague Spring Festival we speak to soloist, and festival artist-in-residence, Antoine Tamestit. english.radio.cz/prague-spring-…

Yesterday's concert was a fantastic fisrt encounter of Klaus Mäkelä and Czech Philharmonic! Viola solo of Antoine Tamestit in Schnittke's Concerto amazed the audience. And when the last notes of first Mahler died out, there was a long standing ovation! Thank you!

Full of immense pulsating energy - that was yesterday's concert of Czech Philharmonic, Víkingur Ólafsson and composer-conductor John Adams, who performed in The Czech Republic for the first time! A classic "Must the Devil Have All the Good Tunes?" was followed by Ólafsson's divine encores.

György Ligeti would have turned 100 this Sunday. In this anniversary year we commemorate him in many ways & celebrate his music. Tonight we open our concert at the Festival Pražské jaro / Prague Spring Festival with his Chamber Concerto for 13 instrumentalists. 📸 © Peter Andersen

Famous period ensemble Talens Lyriques with its conductor Christophe Rousset wowed the Prague Spring audience with two one-act baroque operas: Pygmalion by Jean-Philippe Rameau and Almasis by Pancrace Royer. The latter was presented in its modern times premiere!
