If you are super interested in disqualifying and watch-dogging pastors who disagree with you on secondary issues, yet you are interested in platforming or re-shaping the narrative around a pastor who is obviously disqualified because he's now kind of CN...

The conversations around whether the atonement is limited or unlimited may be the best current example of how: 1). People operate with different dictionaries 2). Topics are often more complicated than the “names” given to certain systems 3). People resort to straw-men to win

If you are a Gentile, Gal. 3:10-14, and the curse therein, is not about you. You are down-wind from the curse, because if the curse remained, the Gentiles would never be able to receive the blessing promised to them through the seed of Abraham. Jesus brought this blessing!

The atonement is: -limited in some ways -unlimited in some ways -recapitulative -substitutionary -victorious -exemplifying/symbolic -for the individual -for all creation -legal -covenantal -eschatological

Paul presents the Gospel in Romans 1:2-5: -Promised beforehand in the Scriptures -Concerning the Son of God -Who is the promised offspring of David -Who is incarnate -Who is installed as the Son in Power -Who rose from the dead -Who is now Lord -Who brings grace to the nations

For those who said no: What is unorthodox about the concept of conditional immortality? Not disagreeing persay but asking you to now show your work

Jesus' earthly ministry is transitional. This is so important to interpreting important texts like much of John 5-6. God was temporarily judicially hardening unbelieving Israel, and accomplishing the blessing of the nations through their unbelief. But they have hope (Rom 11)!

A holistic approach to justification in Scripture looks like this: You are saved, no longer under condemnation. You are being saved, being fashioned by God through the Holy Spirit to become a Kingdom person in His image. You will be saved, when you stand at final judgment.

Ive noticed that when an author claims to be critiquing or engaging with the status quo theologically, and he is saying something we don't like, he is "novel" and we paint it negatively. If its someone saying something we like, it is automatically "reclamation".

Back in college me and some buds made some heavy music for Jesus. We drove to Nashville and recorded it at a top tier professional studio. We wanted this to be a blend of our favorite metalcore, post-hardcore, and pop-punk but extremely Gospel-centered. Go check it out ❤️

If you are in Christ, you are -A new creation -A temple of the Holy Spirit -Free to keep the Law of Christ Stop talking about yourself like you are still a slave to sin. You can walk back in the prison and sit on the cot, but the door is open and the chains are off.

The “Kingdom of Heaven” in the Gospels is not fancy-speak for the place we go when we die. It is “God’s intended creation order”, and Jesus brought it, and now asks us to bring it. In our homes. At our jobs. At the gym. At softball. On this app. We are the in-breaking.
