Cracking Clerihews from Y5 today! Based on the Golden Age of Islam and the House of Wisdom. Mrs Taylor is proud and Mrs Fenton impressed! James Montgomery Academy Trust

Another stash of books thanks to National Literacy Trust #librariesforprimaries RoSIS This time, it was our Y5 librarians who got the first look! And they loved stamping them as much as I do now and did at their age! Readers for life! James Montgomery Academy Trust

We are looking for a brilliant permanent teacher. Be you a fellow book-lover or someone with lots to learn about children’s literature, our happy and well-resourced school could be just the place for you. Why not come and see for yourself? James Montgomery Academy Trust

Look at all those free books! 😍 The best bit? Your school could be next! Transform your school's reading spaces for free with #LibrariesForPrimaries. The full package is worth £6,500 and includes modular furniture, 500 books, training and more. Apply: librariesforprimaries.org.uk/schools

Another selection from National Literacy Trust #librariesforprimaries headed for our library. That said The Golden Swift and The Secret of Haven Point may both make a swift detour to Mrs Fenton’s TBR pile: she hasn’t read those two! Thank you so much National Literacy Trust James Montgomery Academy Trust

This has moved me more than I can say. For context, in ‘Jakub’s Otter’ Signor Mancini is a wood carver. This feedback has brought me so much joy! I’ve permission to give the child’s name - Arron Chamberlain. I’ll pass on to him any comments. Troika Books Spark! School Book Awards

Another selections sorted from our brilliant books from National Literacy Trust #librariesforprimaries Lots of graphic novels and the sequel to Jummy at the River School which Mrs Fenton hasn’t read… yet! sabine adeyinka She will also be reading When Secrets Set Sail by Sita Brahmachari

Is it any wonder Mrs Fenton is busy sorting the school library? Here is another batch from National Literacy Trust #librariesforprimaries all sorted and ready for shelves. Mrs Fenton might just read the poetry first and there is Seaglass Eloise Williams that you are after Mrs Bradley!

This is what Ferham Primary School has benefited from. Not just 500 books - 500 quality books including poetry and graphic novels and Barrington Stoke with representation in authors and characters. Brilliant!

The last full bag from National Literacy Trust #librariesforprimaries We will have some thrilled Sam Wu fans in Y3. Mrs Fenton is thrilled to see a second Lisette Auton as she is almost at the end of Haven Point. And Mrs Bradley has bagsied it next! James Montgomery Academy Trust

Year 2 Short Burst Writing ready to include in a full piece later on. Yes! Only Year 2. ‘The sky turned ebony with emotion.’ ‘To her astonishment…’ ‘To her bewilderment….’ Mrs Fisher is bursting with pride and so is Mrs Fenton! James Montgomery Academy Trust

Woohoo! We are now officially an Elklan Communication Friendly Setting. This means that Mrs Nurse and the EYFS team have worked ever so hard to make sure that our school is a great place for children with SLCN to grow and develop. James Montgomery Academy Trust Elklan Training

Paws Kate Foster 🐕 can take its place in the school library now that is has warmed the cockles of my heart! I loved Alex who thinks that winning a trophy with his dog will get him a friend. Loved Mum and brother, Ned. A windows and mirror book with an autistic main character. 🐕

Impressive diary recounts from Year 2 today. Inspired by Lila and the Secret of Rain and produced by two writers with excellent attendance. There is a link! James Montgomery Academy Trust

Just want to share that Mrs Moore our Office manager has passed her Team Leader apprenticeship receiving a distinction in all areas!! We are super proud of her achievements! ⭐️📚😊 Ferham Primary James Montgomery Academy Trust Barnsley College
